Did you know that you can drive across the entirety of Israel, north to south, in approximately six hours? While I did not do one continuous drive during my time in Israel, I did travel this stretch in two separate drives. Throughout all of Israel, I saw the most amount of cranes I have ever seen in my life. Mile after mile, groups of ten cranes were spread across the land. Especially north of Tel Aviv, you’ll find hundreds of cranes constructing building after building to hold the fast-growing population and economy that Israel has obtained. The expanding nation is under permanent development to meet its country's needs, and you can clearly see this when you step foot in Israel. Even when you are landing in Ben Gurion Airport you can see all the massive steel beams poking out of this small country that seems to be developing at the rate of Dubai. As you can see from these pictures, nothing can stop Israel from growing into a large modern metropolis in the coming years. If Covid barely had an impact on its growth, then what can stop it?

With all of this construction happening, a question came to mind: How fast is Israel's population growing? Israel’s current population is 8.9 million citizens. According to a website under the name, “World Population Review", Israel is growing at a rate of 1.60%. This means that by 2050, Israel will have reached a total population of almost 13 million citizens, and by the end of the century Israel should have reached a population of 18 million citizens. This large population growth is caused by two factors. First, on average, each woman has three children; a very high birth rate. The second reason is that Israel typically records the arrival of tens of thousands of new immigrants each year.
Another reason for the mass amount of construction happening in Israel is because of the growing number of tech companies being established. This means that they need more office space to supply thousands of jobs for Israel. In 2021 Israel invested 900 million dollars into high tech sectors – five times the amount invested in 2020. The tech sector accounts for 15% of Israel's gross domestic product.
