Over the course of the Holocaust, between 1933 and 1944, Nazi Germany and its allies established around 44,000 camps and incarceration sites across Europe. The Nazi Regime ended up killing 6 million Jews and 5 million non Jews during their time of power. The Non Jews include people of Roma, Jehovah’s Witness, gay men, and others. During my Holocaust Remembrance trip I embarked on a journey across Munich, Prague, and Berlin. Through these three bustling cities I was able to get a deeper understanding about the Holocaust and see some of the concentration sites and memorials that are still in place today.
